The girls from both teams came out with high intensity. It started to look like a question of who would make the first mistake or make the first big play. With 7:38 left in the first half a Harper player knocked a ball down from the goal with her hand causing a straight red card and a penalty kick. Abby Schwartz stepped up and buried the Pk giving the Panthers a 1-0 lead and a one player advantage. Abby also scored in the second half off of an assist from Kayla Vogel. The defense was strong tonight only allowing 10 shots and Maya Walters was strong in goal with the shut out on 9 saves. Allison Biergeder was very active up front in the first half with 5 shots. In the second half she moved to the back line with Senior Ellie Noffsinger to help put away the game for good. The Panther will now play Plainwell on Tuesday at 7pm on Harper Creeks turf field.
